Have you ever met someone for the first time and knew that they were a mover and a shaker? That was the impression I got when I first met my guest on the podcast today, Marc Shaffer. Marc is financial advisor with Searcy Financial Services, Inc. in the Overland Park, KS (Kansas City) area.
As the new guy in town, Marc was eager to help me get acquainted with the local Rotary Club that I was joining, but also introduce me to several great business connections in the area too. Why? Because, that’s the type of person he is. As you’ll hear in this episode of the podcast, Marc has whole-heartedly embraced the “pay it forward” attitude. Not only has this contributed to his business success, it’s been a big, motivating factor in other areas of his lifestyle as well. As Marc says in the interview “the pay it forward mentality comes back ten-fold over the long term; you start doing that enough and people really start looking out for you.”
While so many of us understand this concept, it takes a conscious effort and a lot of patience to implement. Take a listen at how Marc has been able to stay focused on the pay-it-forward mentality, as well as other tips he has for business professionals looking to attain their vision.
