Working in a family business is special. As someone who grew up in a family business environment, it’s great to be around family on a daily basis. It does make for quite a different work environment though, and can present challenges not typically found in other companies.
My guest on the podcast today is Mike Meyer of Meyer Music here in the Kansas City area. Meyer Music is his family’s business, started by his parents, and has been going for more than 50 years! Mike and I sit down to talk about our similar journeys of family owned and operated business, as well as Meyer Music’s charitable initiative, Band of Angels.
